How to make Obj Icons

How do I make a Obj Icon and apply them to the map?

I've made 3 Obj Icons, Neutral Allies Axis

but I cannot apply them to the map without getting a "black" icon or purple/black checker box icon. I'm a Graphic Designer so I know how to properly make a alpha channel and what not, and I've saved it as a TGA(Targa) and used VTFEdit to get a vtf file. I've put it in my own Steam Directory and into the map settings, but still won't work. I've also tried one with a background and such so no alpha channel was needed, still didn't work.

Anyone have a idea on how to make it work?

    Hi there. I had a problem .... The solution was to convert the file to exactly TGA.It was wrong with me .... converted As is well with you converted to paste in to a folder Day of Defeat: Source.
